On
the coast, the good choice of water and leisure
complexes allows the most to be made out of
the Mediterranean. You can sail or scuba dive
in the incomparable surroundings of the Columbretes
Islands, or do windsurfing, water skiing,
rowing, fishing, etc.
Golf is another tourist sport on the Costa
Azahar, thanks to three major golf courses
and many others in the planning stage.
Inland, there is excitement, adventure
and nature. Hikers will find in these lands
incredible, unexploited virgin areas. There
is a wide choice of sports: mountain bike,
hiking, climbing, horse riding, stream descents,
potholing, etc.
There are specialised clubs, open all the
year round, which create more and more complex

What the fishing is to the littoral, the
hunt is to the interior. The major hunt
is represented by the wild boar and the
Hispanic goat.
The minor hunt is much more widespread,
since in many municipalities we find estates
of hunt where there abounds the partridge,
the hare and the rabbit. Though the most
traditional modality of the zone is the
known one as the hunt for the “parany”
that realizes from October that it is when
they return the thrushes of Central Europe.
Land, sea…
and air
Castellón offers a choice of aerial
sports, such as base jumping, hang gliding
and parachuting.

Castellón’s
aero club at Pinar beach, 7 km from
Benicàssim hosts national and
international aerial events. It has
a 950 m asphalt runway and a 1.150 m
earth runway.
There is also a tower, hangars, fuel
service, pilot school, three school
planes, parachuting schools, a plane
for parachuting, etc.
Leisure pilot courses, flying hours,
aerial tourism and parachuting are also
